Those of us who have demonstrated at the 'Great' British Circus will know
what a depressing spectacle it is. We have campaigned at many of their
shows in the north of England, pushing the message that life in a circus is
no place for animals.
Naturally we (and the media) get plenty of rubbish from the circus about
how terribly well these animals are treated. Our arguments remain:
1. We have no assurance that these people treat the animals 'well' when
they are away from public view.
2. Confinement, transportation, forced performing and all the other
awful elements of life in a circus are inherently cruel, despite any
'welfare standards'.
Once again though, our deepest fears have been proven. Of course the Great
British Circus mistreat their animals, why wouldn't they? To them they are
merely equipment with which to make money.
Animal Defenders International has filmed some shocking new footage of the
circus in the UK. Here are the videos and the reports:

Next time this travelling misery show comes around, make sure
you're ready to take them on with us. For the animals,
