Hi,

April saw another busy meeting for SAF. Please let us know if you can attend any demonstrations or socials. The more, the merrier.

* Thursday 9th April, 7.30pm, Kashmir, Spital Hill, Sheffield: Join us for a curry. Let us know if you would like to come and we can meet if you aren't sure how to get there. No need to book!

* Saturday 11th April , 10.30am-4.30pm, Fargate, Sheffield City Centre: Stall to raise money and awareness about Doris Banham dog rescue. If you can come only for an hour that would be appreciated. Check them out at www.rescuedb.com/Rescues/View-Rescue.php?r_id=80&ct_id=23

* Saturday 11th April, 12-1.30pm, Cruise, Chapel Walk, Sheffield City Centre: We will be demonstrating outside Cruise for the continuous lack of a fur free policy. Meet us there.

* Sunday 12th April, 9am at Waitrose, Ecclesall Road: We will be meeting at Waitrose for transport to go to Cleethorpes where we will be demonstrating against 'Jungle Zoo'. Find out why they need to be closed down at www.captiveanimals.org/news/2007/jungle_zoo.html. We will then be moving on to demonstrate at the 'Great British Circus' in Grimsby who have numerous animals including Elephants. Due to return at around 5pm. We have a van to fill so get in touch for a seat.

* Tuesday 14th April , 5pm at Owlerton Stadium, Sheffield: Demonstrations against the Sheffield's greyhound racing track, find out more at: www.greyhoundaction.co.uk/. Contact 07806641912 or 07757278824 for more details/meeting place for travel.

* Saturday 18th April, 11am-3pm, Fargate, Sheffield City Centre: This date sees the start of 'World Week for Animals in Laboratories'. We are planning on doing a stall to highlight the plight of animals used in pointless animal experiments: www.animalaid.org.uk/images/pdf/factfiles/exp.pdf (for more info on experiments)

* Saturday 18th April, 12-2pm, Barclays, Barker's Pool, Sheffield City Centre: There will be a demonstration at Barclays for their funding of cruel animal experiments

* Tuesday 21st April, 5pm at Owlerton Stadium, Sheffield: Demonstrations against the Greyhound racing track, contact 07806641912 or 07757278824 for more details/meeting place for travel.

* Saturday 25th April, 7.30am, Meadow Hall Tram Interchange: Meeting here for those who are coming to the 'National Rally for Animals in Laboratories' in London. Due to return from London at 5pm. If you have booked on the transport but can't get there or are running late, please let us know by calling/texting 07742310147.
